During each PRP procedure, the areas of the skin or scalp being treated are anesthetized using a topical numbing cream known as lidocaine. This ensures that the treatment is well tolerated and comfortable. Sensitivity and pain tolerance varies for each individual and some treatment areas may be more sensitive than other areas such as the forehead and upper lip. Most individuals tolerate PRP very well and PRP injections are considered to be a minimally invasive procedure.

Some individuals see results after the first session, however, PRP for skin can take up to several weeks or months before you see results because it takes time for the production of collagen and elastin.
Various factors that are considered include the individual's tone, texture, and complexion of their skin, the amount of skin damage of the individual, and the stage of the aging process on the face, under eye, neck, and chest.
PRP for hair can take up to 12 months to visually see results related to the hair growth cycle which can take 3-4 months. Some clients begin to see results within 3 months, however, results vary for every individual.
The duration of time before visually seeing results depends on the severity of hair loss. PRP for hair restoration requires treatments to be repeated consistently because this treatment only temporarily restores hair follicles. When a series of treatments are completed consistently as well as maintained, hair restoration can last up to 12 months.
One way that we help clients visually see the progress of treatment is by taking before and after photos for all PRP treatment procedures.

Each individual has customized care plans, however, PRP for hair requires at least 6 treatment sessions, and PRP for skin requires at least 3 treatment sessions.
